I attempted to make whoopie pies for Landyn’s preschool Halloween party,
but they didn’t stand a chance with a couple sweet tooth’s in the house.
{Chris had polished off two before I even finished frosting them}
Ingredients:
3 c sugar
1 c butter
4 eggs
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 tbsp vanilla extract
6 c flour
2 c cocoa powder
1tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 c milk
Frosting filling {Duncan Hines}
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix all dry ingredients.
Add eggs, sugar, butter, oil, vanilla, milk.
Scoop out spoonfuls and place on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart.
Gently flatten tops of balls with your spoon.
Bake for 7 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool completely.
Frost half of your pies with vanilla frosting
(Thanks Dunkin Hines)
Place remaining pies on top.
Sprinkles:
Fill a shallow bowl with desired amount of sprinkles.
Gently roll frosted whoppie pies in sprinkles until covered.

My Growing Obsessions
I keep meaning to make these. I’m going to do it this time, really! They’re so cute but I’m afraid they won’t last very long at all in my house either!
