This past weekend, I had 2 days alone.

Just me.

As a momma,

we are always so BUSY,

that we forget what being alone truly means.

We are so taken back by the feeling, that we do not know how to spend our time.

In my head, I think: “How can I fully monopolize on this situation”?

“How productive can I be”?

And then, after a few hours, you anticipate your littles return…

You’ve missed them.

Pre marriage, I struggled with being alone.

In fact, I was fearful of it.

Living on my own, never sat well with me.

I saw my parents more when I was out of the house, then I did when I physically lived with them.

That sense of independence sounded glamorous, but deep down I  hated it.

This past weekend reminded me how much I struggle with this sense of alone.

My new’s year resolution this year is to dismiss my fear.

I want to get back into God’s circle of blessing and be ok with the me that was created so perfectly in his image.

I want to plant my feet firmly on the ground and be content with ME.

Sometimes it’s stepping outside of our comfort zone for us to grow as God’s children.

How does being alone sit with you?

I am blank because…

I’m weird because…

I can NOT sleep with socks on.

I drink a cup of orange juice every night before bed.

I have anxiety about getting wrinkles….I can’t go to bed without applying under eye cream.

I’ve bitten my nails since I was 5 years old.

I will put wrinkled clothes in the dryer because I HATE ironing.

I can not start my day without my bed made.

I’m a bad friend because…

I prefer texting to calling.

I’ve completely spaced on a dinner date before.

I’m terrible at returning voice mails.

When my personal life is in turmoil, I tend to take it out on those closest to me.

I’m a good friend because…

I am patient.

I am a good listener.

I love my friends like sisters.

I’m sad because…

Sometimes I feel like I am failing as a momma.

I miss my bestie in Kentucky (yes, it’s only been a week)

My baby is growing too quickly…potty training is in our VERY distant future.

I’m happy because…

I get to wake up to Miss L’s hugs and kisses every single day.

I went vintage shopping with my sister this weekend.

I have the love and support from two amazing parents.

God gives second chances.

I’m excited for…

Christmas decor.

Time with family.

New beginnings.
