Michelob Ultra Light Cider Review

With summer on our horizon, I have outdoor fun on the mind.

Warm sunshine that never quits. Pool parties. Bbq’s.

Picnics. Toes in the sand. Days at the lake. Camping.

Popsicles. Feel good music.

And who doesn’t love an excuse to celebrate outdoors with a tasty beverage?

(and I’m not talking about the caffeinated kind…)

I recently tried Michelob ULTRA Light Cider, and it pushed me into full fledged, SUMMER mode. The crisp and refreshing apple flavor has you thinking you are drinking apple cider straight from the apple orchards, but in fact you are enjoying an alcoholic beverage that can serve as an alternative to wine or champagne. Now let me tell you, I’ve never been much of a beer drinker. In fact, unless I am with a group of friends, I don’t really drink. I’ve recently been looking outside my box though, and yes my alcohol consumption is involved.

as described by Anheuser-Busch:

Anheuser-Busch’s Michelob ULTRA announced the newest addition to its portfolio, Michelob ULTRA Light Cider, a naturally sweetened and gluten-free cider made from crisp apples.  Featuring one-third fewer calories (120) and a more mellowed sweetness than traditional ciders*, Michelob ULTRA Light Cider is ideal for year-round enjoyment and provides a light, refreshing alternative to white wine, champagne and heavier ciders.

I took this post as an opportunity to kick up my feet, and enjoy a gorgeous California evening outside, grilling chicken with my freezing cold beverage.

I’ll clink my bottle and toast to that…

Something about summer equals happy and carefree memories, little sentiments that I’ve grown to appreciate. I plan on enjoying a Michelob Ultra Light Cider at many summer events. I may even pick up the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy, grab a beer cozie, and call it a day. Who’s in?

Bring it on sweet summertime.

Which favorite summer meal or activity do you think would go best with Michelob ULTRA Cider?
