With fall, comes FOOD. The two practically go hand in hand. We are constantly being tempted with less than nutritious food choices that are easily accessible. One of my goals for this series, is to help you incorporate HEARTY, yet HEALTHY recipes into your families diet. Here is one of my go to recipes that will give you the best of both worlds. Best of all, it’s lean and green approved. Let me know what you think!
Chicken Teriyaki
Ingredients:
2 tsp olive oil
2 tsp low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp teriyaki sauce
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground ginger
18 oz boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
bag of vegetable stir fry (snap peas, carrots, sprouts, broccoli)
Directions:
Mix all the above spices/condiments into a marinade. Marinate chicken for at least 4 hours or overnight.
In large frying pan, cook chicken and vegetables for 10 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
What’s your favorite healthy recipe?
