The Girl in the red shoes: The not so perfect mom

Today’s guest post is from a girl that I’ve been following for some time now. I’ve watched her morph into a blogger, DIY crafter, fashionista, and most importantly momma.
She’s beautiful inside and out and I am so excited to share her with you today. Today she’s blogging here, and I am over at her place. Take it away Julie…
Hello Lee La La readers! Lindsay is one of the sweetest and most genuine bloggers I have the privilege of calling a friend….and I am so honored to be guest posting for her today! My name is Julie and blog over at The Girl in the Red Shoes. I’m a California girl now living in Michigan, lover of red shoes (wore them on my wedding day!) and new mama to my sweet boy Hudson. At first I was worried about what I would write about today. What would be good/funny/touching/sweet enough to grace Lindsay’s amazing blog? My post has to be perfect. Problem is I’m far from perfect. So often what you see on blogs is a mini version of the perfect life….but that’s not real life. If you really knew me you would know that my hair doesn’t always look perfect and is pretty dirty most days, but I only show pictures of it perfectly styled. My house is usually a hot mess, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at my photos. My baby doesn’t sleep through the night, but I rarely mention this. I worry way too much about things that don’t matter.
In reality, my life looks a lot more like this.
I may take photos of myself in running shoes, but it’s been months since I’ve worked out. And I’m totally sucking in my post-baby belly.
But you wouldn’t know that unless I told you. And who wants to read a blog about that, right? WRONG. Everyone want’s to read that blog. Heck, so do I. Everyone wants to know that it’s okay to not be perfect. To show that life can be a little messy, crazy, and unorganized….but it’s still good.
Join me as I learn to embrace the messy.

Lindsay
